The decade from 2010 to 2020 was one of Yayoi Kusama’s most prolific and widely celebrated. At its centre was her My Eternal Soul series, begun in 2009 and expanded into hundreds of large-scale canvases over the following years. These vibrant paintings, filled with biomorphic shapes, surreal faces, and rhythmic fields of colour, reflect Kusama’s relentless creativity and her ongoing exploration of psychological depth and infinity.

Alongside painting, Kusama continued to push the boundaries of printmaking and sculpture, producing editioned works that translated her signature motifs, pumpkins, flowers, nets, and dots, into highly collectable forms. Her Infinity Mirror Rooms also reached global audiences during this decade, drawing record-breaking crowds and cementing her position as one of the most influential living artists.
