Yayoi Kusama’s Infinity Nets (WR) (2004) is a signed, titled, and dated screenprint measuring 43 × 35 cm, produced in an edition of 40. The work belongs to one of her most important and enduring series, the Infinity Nets, which first emerged in the late 1950s. In this print, the delicate lattice of looping brush-like forms is translated into a graphic field of repetition, creating a hypnotic surface that appears to extend beyond the edges of the sheet.

The Infinity Nets epitomise Kusama’s obsession with endless space and her lifelong pursuit of infinity. In this iteration, rhythmic patterns dissolve into one another, blurring the boundary between figure and ground. The viewer is drawn into a meditative field where the simple gesture of repetition becomes a vast, all-encompassing vision of both order and dissolution.
