    Yayoi Kusama’s Eyes Flying in the Sky (2006) is a screenprint measuring 76 × 56 cm, produced in an edition of 120. The work presents one of Kusama’s most striking motifs, the eye,  multiplied across the surface to create a field of rhythmic intensity. Rendered with bold outlines and vivid colours, the image conveys both a sense of playfulness and psychological unease.
     
    In this print, eyes drift across the composition like celestial bodies, evoking both surveillance and transcendence. The repetition of the eye motif reflects Kusama’s exploration of obsession, infinity, and the dissolution of the self. At the same time, the surreal arrangement suggests a dreamlike landscape where vision itself becomes boundless.
