Yayoi Kusama is celebrated for an iconic style that fuses surrealism, abstraction, and pop art. Her signature use of repeating patterns, particularly polka dots, underpins an exploration of infinity, self-obliteration, and psychological depth. These original works display extraordinary precision and detail, with compositions ranging from intimate canvases as small as 20cm to large-scale pieces over three metres in length.

Drawing from lifelong hallucinations and her fascination with boundless space, Kusama creates visual environments where objects merge seamlessly with their surroundings or become abstractions of infinity itself. Each work embodies her obsessive, meditative process, transforming personal experience into universal visions that blur the line between reality and imagination.
  • "Every time I have had a problem, I have confronted it with the ax of art."

    - Yayoi Kusama

Kusama has long treated art as both a refuge and a weapon, transforming personal challenges into visionary creations. Her practice is inseparable from her lived experience, with each painting, sculpture, or installation serving as a means of confronting inner struggles and reshaping them into something universal. Through this process, she demonstrates how art can be both intensely personal and profoundly liberating, offering not only healing for herself but also a shared sense of resilience for her audience.
