    Untitled 1000, Chair, 2011 is an iPad drawing part of Hockney's digital catalogue. It is unclear if a print release was ever released by the studio, but Hockney has published this piece online.

     

    Chairs have frequently been a favourite subject for Hockney, further supported by the experimentation of this piece. This artwork depicts an antique wooden chair and a small glass, as well as what appears to be parquet flooring in the background.  The defined marks used for shading seem erratic when viewed close up, however when viewing the whole image they convey the harmony of light, shadows and even indicate the different materials present.
