  • David Hockney painting a landscape outdoors with brush and canvas, capturing Yorkshire countryside in his signature style.

    David Hockney

    Born in Bradford, 1937

Since David Hockney’s 1960’s rise to fame, working from California on his now iconic Pool works, the Bradford born artist has acted as a dominant force within the art market now for over six decades. His vibrant use of colour has attracted a global collector base, whilst his constant invention of new mediums has kept his work on the cutting edge.

In 2014, Geist began dealing in David Hockney, when we started buying his Arrival of Spring in Woldgate series upon the initial release. We have since specialised in the iPad market, establishing ourselves as a leading secondary market dealer. We have focused on this area as we believe the works both capture an important moment within the history of art and define the artists late career.
