Banksy’s most iconic street works have turned walls, bridges and public spaces into some of the most recognisable images in contemporary art. Using his distinctive stencilled style, the anonymous British artist has transformed the urban landscape into a site for direct social and political commentary. His murals address issues such as war, inequality, consumerism and environmental destruction, speaking to passersby in a language that is immediate, accessible and uncompromising.

Many of Banksy’s best-known images, including Girl with a BalloonLove Is In The Air and There Is Always Hope, first appeared on the street before being adapted into prints and originals. These works have moved beyond their original locations to become part of public consciousness, reproduced in countless forms and widely circulated across the world. By bridging street culture and contemporary art, Banksy has created a body of work that is both rooted in its time and enduring in its impact.
