In 2003, Banksy took an unexpected detour from his usual anti-establishment work to design the cover for Think Tank, Blur’s seventh studio album. The image shows two figures sharing a bottle of wine, their heads trapped inside oversized vintage diving helmets. Hovering above them is a dripping pink heart - crooked, melting, and barely intact. The helmets' symbols of emotional defence and disconnection make the act of sharing a drink feel more like survival than romance.

With his signature mix of irony and tenderness, Banksy turns a quiet dinner into a commentary on modern love. Think Tank became one of Banksy’s most recognisable commercial works,  a stencilled statement on the absurdity of human connection in emotionally extreme conditions.

The cover of Blur’s Think Tank (2003) features two stencilled figures drinking wine while wearing vintage diving helmets, with a dripping pink heart above them. Commissioned as one of Banksy’s few commercial projects, the piece uses humour and irony to explore themes of love, vulnerability, and emotional disconnection. Its bold simplicity and cultural reach have made it one of his most widely seen designs.
