Thrower revisits one of Banksy’s most iconic images - Love Is In The Air (Flower Thrower). It shows a masked protester poised to throw not a weapon, but a bouquet of flowers. In this Gross Domestic Product edition, the image is deconstructed into three parts, embracing traditional screen-printing techniques over digital methods. This pays tribute to art pioneers like Andy Warhol, who changed the game of art reproduction and commodification.

Banksy’s classic stencil style here also reflects his street art origins, the quickest way to spray a message before getting caught. Over time, Flower Thrower has become a signature Banksy motif, as iconic as his rats and monkeys. This piece blends street art culture, political commentary, and pop art influences into one unforgettable visual statement.

  • "The greatest crimes in the world are not committed by people breaking the rules but by people following the rules.”

    – Banksy

The central figure, caught mid-motion, retains its powerful ambiguity: part-rioter, part-romantic. By replacing the weapon with flowers, Banksy softens aggression into a call for peace, while the act of throwing suggests urgency and resistance. This balance between tenderness and defiance has made the Flower Thrower one of Banksy’s most enduring images, and in Thrower he reframes the icon through both street art immediacy and Pop Art commentary.
