Commissioned by art dealer and environmentalist Ronald Feldman, Andy Warhol created the portfolio of 10 images of endangered animals in 1983. Donating copies of the portfolio to raise funds to be used to create awareness, the project was conceived to help protect animals included on the Endangered Species Act of 1973.
